Urethane Resin, Polypropylen, Silver, Acrylic lacquer
This body of work was inspired by the lightweight quality of bubble wrap. By exploring the material I wanted to create two distinct pieces from the same form. The black ring carries a special heaviness that requires that the wearer strain their body simply to maintain balance.
In contrast to the ring, the lightweight and spring-loaded form of the neckpiece creates a playful composition that becomes palpable when wearing the piece. The wearer develops a sort of sympathetic relationship with the piece of jewelry that lends them a particular bounciness.
